The Thai government is now boosting their tourism world. One of them is by promoting tourist spots that are not yet known.
"Not only Bangkok and Phuket but many other hidden places. We hope these hidden places become new tourist destinations," said Director of Asean, South Asia and South Pacific Division, Tourism Authority of Thailand, Kulpramote Wannalert, in Bangkok on Wednesday (26/9).
One place that is targeted to become a new tourist destination is the city of Chiang Rai. Located in northern Thailand, Chiang Rai can be reached by airplane from Suvarnabhumi Airport. The distance is around 90 minutes.
In Chiang Rai, there are many unique tourism options, from tea gardens, villas belonging to the Royal Thai family, to highly instagramable temples.
